The entire Ukrainian football team from the Poltava sports club ended up at the military registration and enlistment office after they went to a home match against a team from the Chernihiv region.
It is reported that the athletes were taken to the TCC before the match, where everyone without exception was given summonses.
Football players from Poltava region (Ukraine) found themselves in a military registration and enlistment office instead of a stadium.
The incident happened last weekend. Ukrainian sports journalist Igor Burbas reported on what happened.
According to him, the bus of the SC Poltava team went to a home match against FC Kudrovka from the Chernihiv region.
This bus was stopped by the military, and the team was then taken to the TCC (military registration and enlistment office - ed.)... As I was told, everyone was issued summonses, - MIA " Russia Today " quotes Burbas' statement.
Later, the athletes were given the opportunity to play the scheduled match.
However, after the summonses were handed out, the team was not in the mood to play, and the match ended with a score of 1-2 in favor of Kudrovka.
Let us recall that on May 18 of this year, the Law on Strengthening Mobilization came into force in Ukraine.
According to the requirements of the regulatory legal act, all military personnel must update their registration data at the military registration and enlistment office within 60 days from the date the document comes into force.
The provision on the demobilization of military personnel is not spelled out in the law.
