World boxing legend Mike Tyson returned to the professional ring after a nearly 20-year hiatus.
In the city of Arlington (Texas), the official fight between 58-year-old “Iron Mike” and 27-year-old blogger Jake Paul took place.
The fight consisted of eight rounds, each lasting two minutes.
From the very first seconds, Tyson rushed at his opponent, but he effectively defended himself with equally effective counterattacks.
By the middle of the fight, Tyson was visibly tired. However, he lasted all 8 rounds.
However, by unanimous decision of the judges, Paul won on points.
American media reported that the legendary boxer's fee for the fight was $20 million, while the blogger's was $40 million.
Let us recall that Mike Tyson fought in the professional ring from 1985 to 2005.
During his career, he won 50 fights, 44 of which were by knockout. He lost only six times.
Tyson became the absolute world heavyweight champion and held belts from the World Boxing Council, World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation.
As for the blogger, he has been in the ring since January 2020. Before the confrontation with Tyson, he won 9 fights, 6 of which were by knockout, suffering only one defeat.
