The new home series of games for Minsk Dynamo in the regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League got off to an unsuccessful start.

In the Belarusian capital, the "zubrs" hosted the Moscow region "Vityaz". The hosts turned out to be very hospitable - the Russians left, as they say, "with a shield".

By the way, this confrontation was dedicated to the legendary Belarusian hockey player Ruslan Salei, who would have turned 50 on November 2.

The first period of the ice battle ended without a goal.

In the second period of the game there was a moment when the “white-blues” played in full force against three hockey players of the visiting team, but were unable to realize such a significant advantage.

But Vityaz used its chance when the Minsk team had a player sent off. However, Sam Enas soon restored the balance in the score.

Around the middle of the third period, the visitors took the lead again, and then the “bison” conceded while shorthanded.

Trying to get even, shortly before the end of the final third, the Belarusians replaced the goalkeeper with a sixth field player, and conceded again - into an empty net.

Thus, the final figures on the scoreboard showed a major defeat for Dynamo – 1:4.

Currently, both teams occupy 8th and 9th places in the KHL Western Conference standings with 23 points.

The next opponent of the Minsk team will be Ufa's Salavat Yulaev. The meeting will take place on November 7 at Minsk Arena, starting at five o'clock in the evening.
