Sunday evening, November 17, gave football fans a wonderful game - the national teams of Italy and France played against each other.
It was the central match of the final round of the group stage of the League of Nations.
The giants of world football represent League A (Group 2). The meeting took place at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan.
The hosts lost. The final score was 1:3.
Thanks to this victory, the "tricolors" took first place in the group, although they scored the same number of points (13) as the "Squadra Azzurra" (the French have a better goal difference).
Adrien Rabiot scored twice for the representatives of the country of musketeers (2nd and 65th minutes).
The third goal was scored by the opposing goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the 33rd minute – an own goal.
The hosts managed to upset their opponents only once - in the 35th minute, Andrea Cambiaso scored an accurate strike.
Thus, the first two places in the group were taken by the French and Italians, who scored 13 points each.

By the way, the last two teams played each other on November 17. Israel won – 1:0.
Among other matches, we note the big victories with the same score of 5:0 by the England team over the Irish team and by the Norwegians over the Kazakhstan team.
The Finns lost to the Greeks (0:2) and Latvia to Armenia (1:2), while North Macedonia beat the Faroe Islands (1:0).
The only draw (1:1) was recorded in the match between the national teams of Austria and Slovenia.
