The game took place in Saint Petersburg. The local SKA hosted the Lokomotiv team from Yaroslavl.
Before the match, Yaroslavl had 5 wins in a row, while St. Petersburg had 7.
The game resulted in Lokomotiv continuing its winning streak. But the army team from the Northern capital of Russia will have to start all over again.

However, already in the 17th minute, Lokomotiv player Maxim Shalunov scored the winning goal.
There were no goals scored in the second and third periods.
The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of Lokomotiv.
