How Shipachev became a record holder

It happened in the middle of the first third of the match.

The Russian provided an assist to Vadim Moroz.

As a result, the number of points earned by Shipachev during his entire time playing in the Kontinental Hockey League reached 929.

The athlete single-handedly topped the list of the most productive players in the history of the KHL according to the goal+pass system.

Second place goes to Sergei Mozyakin, who retired from hockey several years ago. Mozyakin has 928 points (419 goals and 509 assists).

As for Shipachev, he currently has 291 goals and 638 assists.

It is worth emphasizing that this is not the first record set by the Russian in recent times. Recently, the 37-year-old forward became the record holder for the number of matches played in the KHL. At the moment, the figure is 1006.
