Minsk Dynamo completed the first away series in Moscow as part of the recently launched new season of the Kontinental Hockey League.
In the Russian capital, the Belarusians crossed sticks with the local Dynamo players. And lost to them.
Already in the first period, the Muscovites torpedoed the Zubrs' goal twice. One goal was scored by former player of the Belarusian club Cedric Paquette.
In the second period, Dmitry Kvartalnov's team missed two more goals scored by one hockey player - Dmitry Rashevsky.
A little later, playing in a five-on-three format, the Minsk team got one goal back. Sam Enas scored.
Three minutes later, the Belarusians scored again – Canadian Dillon Dube was accurate. However, his goal was disallowed due to an offside position.
Nevertheless, in the same second period, the Minsk team still managed to spoil the mood of their teammates, scoring a goal that was correct in all respects, by Nicolas Meloche.
In the last third of the match, Dynamo Minsk player Brady Lyle reduced the gap to a minimum.
However, later the Muscovites restored the status quo, and at the end of the game, having hit the empty goal of the opponent, they set the final score of the match – 6:3.
