These days Belarus is experiencing powerful winds, with speeds reaching 24 meters per second in some places.

The bad weather caused a lot of trouble: fallen trees, damaged cars, and many settlements without power.

Currently, power engineers continue to restore electricity supply in regions affected by the raging natural disaster.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy on its official telegram channel, today, November 2, a powerful squall wind knocked trees down onto power lines.

As a result, they broke and the supports were damaged.

The power supply was mainly disrupted in the Vitebsk region, the report says.

Power engineers are working in an enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather as quickly as possible, the department noted.

According to him, 106 emergency teams are involved in the work, and 118 units of equipment are in use.

It is known that as of 13:00 on Saturday, restoration work continued in 92 settlements.

Energy supply organizations continue to continuously monitor the situation, the Ministry of Energy reported.
