Forbes magazine reported a serious decline in the personal capital of Russia's richest woman.
According to the calculations of the American publication, the fortune of Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk has decreased by half.
This happened after the merger of the marketplace with the outdoor advertising operator Russ, Belta clarifies , citing the magazine.
The latter learned that Bakalchuk had actually given away 35% of her company's shares for a total of approximately $3.4 billion.
According to Forbes, Wildberries' net worth fell from $7.9 billion to $4.1 billion.
The businesswoman's fortune also declined, with exchange rates cited as the reason.
It is known that Wildberries transferred 27 of its 30 subsidiaries to the new merged company, while Russ did not transfer anything, but received 35% of the shares in the new enterprise.
