The situation in Belarus ahead of the presidential elections is stable, but what is happening around the country is worrying.
This was stated on November 7 by State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich, answering questions from journalists following the meeting of secretaries of the security councils of the CIS countries in Moscow.
Volfovich's statement is cited by BELTA .
What Volfovich said about security ahead of the elections
According to the State Secretary of the Security Council, the situation in Belarus remains stable, but what is happening around the country is worrying.
Volfovich regretfully noted that Minsk’s peace initiatives remain unanswered.
Poland and the Baltic countries, the Secretary of State of the Security Council noted, continue to pursue an aggressive policy aimed at creating tension near the borders of Belarus.
Apparently, they have forgotten the terrible lessons of World War II, Volfovich added.
