Today, on the Belarusian labor market, salespeople are in great demand among employers.
The State Employment Service database alone contains over 3,000 current vacancies.
They offer all kinds of salaries: sometimes the minimum possible is 626 rubles, but sometimes it is 2,000 rubles.
However, most often these workers are hired for salaries ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 rubles.
Specificity
We will discuss the money issue in more detail below. For now, let us briefly recall why the profession – which is very necessary for society – is by no means easy and has its own specifics.
The main feature is that the employee selling goods or services must be extremely responsible and attentive – he deals with finances, often with clients’ money.
The second specific feature: the work of a salesperson is quite difficult in terms of increased fatigue and the presence of stressful situations.
Third: wherever a salesperson works (hypermarket, market, sales office, small shop, etc.), his duties are not limited to just being at the checkout.
The fact is that today various specializations in trade are combined. For example, now very often sellers perform the functions of consultants.
By the way, the corresponding term “sales consultant” has been in use for a long time now.
Not just selling
The salesperson also often acts as a manager, for example, encouraging customers to make purchases.
But in the latter case, among other things, the specialist must know everything thoroughly about the products offered.
Must explain to a person intelligibly the issues related to quality, shelf life (operation), presence or absence of certain properties, etc.
In this context, the seller not only sells, he also ensures sales volumes for his organization.
It can be said that he is also directly involved in attracting new clients and maintaining interest from regular ones.
In this regard, a number of companies encourage sellers to be productive by increasing their salaries by a percentage of the goods they sell. Or by the total amount of products sold by the organization.
Working conditions
They follow from everything said above. This means that the most important of them are connected with working in a mode of constant contact with people.
Plus, there is a huge responsibility, since you have to deal with money.
Hence: the seller must be a sociable, friendly, polite, competent and responsible specialist.
If the conditions for a sales clerk are clear (work at the cash register), then a sales consultant also deals with goods.
That is, the latter places them on the shelves, taking into account the manufacturer’s recommendations and the marketing decisions of his company, monitors the expiration date, quality, appearance, etc.
If we are talking about working with food products, the seller must undergo a medical examination.
Salaries
This issue was touched upon a little above. Now in more detail, to whom, who and how much is offered in Belarus. Let's look at vacancies in the State Employment Service .
If we talk about the “minimum”, then such an amount appears in the vacancy of the Mozyr trading company “Polesie”.
The same 626 rubles will be provided to specialists by the Vitebsk Regional Consumer Society (Dubrovno) and the Beryozka Trading House (Kalinkovichi).
The most popular salaries for salespeople are from 1,000 to 1,400 rubles.
For example, the Minsk company “Kubelec” promises from 1,000 to 1,100 to a sales assistant.
The Grodno poultry farm is calling for a specialist for a salary of 1,000 to 1,200 rubles, while Chashniki Prodmarket LLC (Chashniki) promises from 1,300 to 1,400 rubles.
The highest salaries today range from 2,000 to 2,500 rubles. For sales consultants.
Thus, the enterprise “Promtekhservis” (Maryina Gorka, Minsk region) will write out exactly two thousand.
And the salary in the amount of 2,500 rubles will be provided by the private enterprise "Zoohouse" (Minsk).
