Alexander Lukashenko addressed the personnel and veterans of the State Security Committee of Belarus.

The President congratulated the addressees of the message on their professional holiday – State Security Officer’s Day.

As reported by the press service of the head of state, the text draws attention to the fact that from the first days of the creation of the special service, the security officers were at the forefront of the country's defense.

They defended the sovereignty and independence of the state.

Today, continuing the glorious traditions of the Belarusian special service, you are fighting on a front hidden from the eyes of the people, the President noted.

According to him, the activities of the modern Belarusian special services take place in the context of “new hybrid threats to national security.”

And these threats, Lukashenko emphasizes, are unprecedented in their scale.

The importance of the KGB’s work, according to the Belarusian leader, is also evidenced by the fact that the results of its employees’ activities “contribute to the adoption of the most important political decisions.”

Those decisions that largely determine the future of Belarus and the fate of millions of residents of the republic.

Gratitude

The head of state thanked each employee of the department “for their high professionalism, impeccable work style and complete dedication.”

He also expressed confidence that KGB officers, in response to modern challenges, will do everything to strengthen their country’s position “in the changing world order.”

But the main thing, the congratulations say, is that the committee will continue to ensure the preservation of peace and stability in Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed special words of gratitude to the KGB veterans, those who made an invaluable contribution to bringing the Great Victory closer.

To those who “preserved and passed on the best traditions, forming the modern image of the special service.”

The President wished the KGB employees and veterans happiness and prosperity, health and optimism, new successes and accomplishments in the name of Belarus.
