The National Bank of Belarus has extended the opening hours of cash desks for exchanging 2000-issue banknotes until December 30.

Where can I exchange old money?
Old banknotes can be exchanged at the National Bank cash desks in Minsk at 6 Tolstoy Street from 08:30 to 19:00.
Other transactions at the NBRB cash desks from December 2 to 30 will be carried out in the usual mode: from Monday to Thursday - from 08:30 to 15:30, on Friday and the pre-holiday day of December 24 - from 08:30 to 14:30.
The National Bank reminded that in accordance with Decree No. 450 of 04.11.2015, a denomination was carried out from July 1.
Initially, the exchange period for banknotes of the 2000 model was set until December 31, 2021.
Decree No. 293 of August 22, 2022 defined an additional period until December 31 of this year.
In accordance with Decree No. 450, the exchange of old money is carried out at a ratio of 10,000:1.
From January 1 next year, banknotes of the 2000 model will be considered invalid.
