Igor Golub, Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus, named the conditions for resuming air traffic with Europe.
According to him, Minsk is ready to implement this as soon as “political obstacles are removed.”
He also reported that interaction through the international organization ICAO has not ceased.
Of course, we will be ready to resume air traffic with Europe as soon as political obstacles are removed, Belta quotes the head of the Ministry of Transport Department.
According to him, European countries are also interested in the resumption of air traffic.
The reason is that flying around Belarus and Russia requires considerable financial expenses for local airlines.
Having the opportunity to fly directly from Europe to the East via Belarus and the Russian Federation, of course, airlines are interested in not making overflights and not spending extra money, Golub said.
And he added: Minsk is interested in the same thing, and the Belarusian sky is open.
He emphasized that Belarus has never put obstacles in anyone’s way and is now ready to resume dialogue, as well as to resume air traffic with European countries.
