On December 11, the Council of Ministers of Belarus adopted a resolution to increase the minimum wage.
From January 1 next year it will increase to 726 rubles.
Compared to January of this year, the minimum wage has increased by 100 rubles or almost 16%, writes the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
How is the minimum wage applied?
As the Ministry of Labor and Social Development reported, employers are required to apply the minimum wage as the minimum wage limit.
This social standard is applied in organizations regardless of the type of economic activity/form of ownership, including individual entrepreneurs, in homeowners' associations and in relation to employees working under employment contracts.
The minimum wage is guaranteed to all employees when they perform their assigned duties and is applied taking into account the hours worked.
A collective agreement/contract may establish a higher monthly minimum wage.
