On November 14, the lower house of the Belarusian parliament adopted in the second reading a draft law on issues of state registration of real estate.
The Minister of Justice, Yevgeny Kovalenko, spoke about the innovations provided for by the bill.
His statement is cited by BELTA .
What is in the draft law on issues of state registration of real estate
As Kovalenko explained, one of the most important provisions of the document, prepared at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, is to provide citizens with the opportunity to register not only the transaction, but also the rights to the property transferred under this transaction.
Currently, citizens first contact a notary to complete a transaction, and then register the property with a real estate registration agency.
The innovation proposed by the Ministry of Justice simplifies the process; you will only need to contact a notary.
He will not only certify the transaction, but also ensure the transfer of documents in electronic form so that the rights to the property can be subsequently registered.
According to the Minister, a proactive format for implementing the relevant administrative procedure is being introduced and registration of all rights is ensured on a one-stop-shop basis.
The head of the Ministry of Justice noted that this norm will make the service more accessible. Residents of rural settlements will be able to receive a full range of legal services for certifying a transaction and registering rights to real estate without going to the district center.
