What the Ministry of Taxes said about changes in taxation of individuals

On October 31, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly considered a block of budget documents, including a draft law providing for amendments to the Tax Code.

As the representative of the Ministry of Taxes explained, the Tax Code is amended annually. In terms of property taxes, the changes mainly concern the gradual indexation of rates, benefits, and deductions.

According to Kovalevsky, no significant changes are being made, since the tax system for individuals has already been formed and complies with all international practices.

In addition to indexing rates, individual areas are being improved. Thus, starting next year, benefits related to the turnover of cryptocurrencies will cease to apply.

The Tax Code will be supplemented with an article defining the procedure and conditions for taxation of income from the turnover of cryptocurrencies.

Benefits for cryptocurrency transactions on Belarusian crypto exchanges of High-Tech Park residents will be maintained.

In this way, we stimulate work within the framework of the Belarusian legal field with Belarusian organizations, noted the representative of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties.

As reported, on September 17, the head of state signed decree No. 367 “On the circulation of digital signs (tokens)”.

The decree is intended to increase the security of citizens when making transactions with tokens and to eliminate the possibility of cryptocurrency being involved in fraudulent and other illegal activities.

The document provides for a ban on individuals, including individual entrepreneurs who are residents of the HTP, from purchasing and selling cryptocurrency outside of Belarusian crypto exchanges.
