It has become known that in Belarus another category of students has received the right to use public transport without paying for travel.
From May 1 next year, this privilege will be available to young Belarusians from among the students of the lyceums of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This information was published by the Belta agency with reference to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic.
The department informs: students of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs undergoing training to work in paramilitary structures have received a status similar to that of students of Suvorov military schools.
Let us recall that the latter also have the right to free travel – both on city and suburban transport.
According to the decree of the Government of Belarus (No. 630 dated August 27 of this year), the following people can now travel on public transport for free:
- schoolchildren;
- high school students;
– students receiving special education (for citizens with special psychophysical development needs).
This benefit is valid from September 1 to June 30.
But those who study at the lyceums of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have another privilege - free provision of medicines.
