In October, the State Sanitary Supervision Service of the Gomel Region identified individual batches of substandard products in circulation – 13 items in total.
This was reported by the Gomel Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health.
What unsafe products have been withdrawn from sale in the Gomel region
As reported by the regional Center for Hygiene and Public Health, the confiscated goods did not meet safety requirements according to various criteria.
Thus, the Chinese-made children's toy "Magic Powder Slime" was found to not meet safety requirements due to the excess of permissible levels of formaldehyde and phenol.
The paint sets “Tsvetik” and “Eniki-beniki” did not meet the standards for this parameter.
The sanitary inspection also focused on aluminum foil from various manufacturers (it did not meet the requirements for the indicator “migration of aluminum into a 0.3% lactic acid solution”).
According to the same parameter, forms for preparing hot and cold dishes were found to be non-compliant with standards.
Also among the confiscated items were minced pork meat and frozen broiler chicken heads.
