Russian Emergencies Ministry employees are evacuating 56 people – citizens of Russia and Belarus – from Beirut (the capital of Lebanon).
People are being evacuated from the country by a plane belonging to the Russian rescue agency, which has delivered another batch of humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
TASS reports this with reference to the head of the consular department at the Russian Embassy, Oleg Demirov.
According to him, the Russian Emergencies Ministry carried out a special flight to deliver humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
On the way back, rescuers will take out 37 Russians and 19 Belarusians who found themselves “in a difficult life situation and suffered from military action.”
The diplomat added that since the beginning of November, this is already the third group of compatriots flying home from Lebanon on Emergencies Ministry planes.
As previously reported, the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Il-76 delivered 24 tons of humanitarian aid to the republic, including medicines, flour, and essential items.
