Rosselkhoznadzor has found dangerous bacteria in products of three Belarusian enterprises

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) has made an important statement.

The agency reports that its specialists have discovered dangerous bacteria in the products of three Belarusian enterprises – cottage cheese and beef.

The relevant information is contained in a letter from Rosselkhoznadzor, published on its official website.

According to the document, coliform bacteria were found in the cottage cheese produced by the Volkovysk enterprise BELLAKT.

Excess dangerous bacteria were found in beef from Belmitfood LLC, and listeria was found in beef from the Mogilev consumer society.

The Russian agency notes that these violations were recorded for the first time.

In connection with the incident, Rosselkhoznadzor contacted the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of Belarus.

The Federal Service is asking to change the status of the specified enterprises in the Customs Union register to “enhanced laboratory control.”
