Today in Belarus, drivers are among the most sought-after workers by employers.
This is also evidenced by the huge number of vacancies (over 10,000) from employers posted in the state employment service database alone.
Some drivers are offered a salary of 5,000 rubles. However, there is also a minimum of 626 rubles, and most often they are hired for 1,000 - 1,500 rubles.
We will discuss the salaries of these workers in detail below, but for now let us remind you what exactly they do, the conditions under which they work, and some of the features of the profession.
Peculiarities
The specifics of the profession are such that, due to its scale, it is “broken down” into a number of highly specialized areas.
Thus, a distinction is made between drivers of public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams), truck drivers (trucks), freight vehicles, loaders, special equipment, etc.
And how can we not remember taxi drivers, including those driving route taxis, service cars, intercity buses (regular and tourist), bulldozers, excavators, etc.
In addition, today in the country there is a special demand for drivers of agricultural, industrial, and military equipment.
It is worth saying that each of the listed areas has its own specifics and characteristics.
For example, a trolleybus driver performs different tasks than a combine driver, and truck drivers have different working conditions than taxi drivers.
Specificity
It is clear that specialists work mainly on the roads – they drive vehicles.
But this is not the only thing their professional duties consist of; that is, roughly speaking, in addition to delivering cargo or passengers from one point to another, they have a number of other important functions.
The driver must understand the technology and if a breakdown occurs on the road that he can fix, he will do so.
By the way, the road is often treacherous, especially in changing weather conditions.
And the driver must take this into account. And in the event of emergency situations, he is required to immediately respond adequately.
Terms and Conditions
Hence the following working condition: the need to always be extremely attentive and careful while driving a vehicle.
This requirement especially applies to those who transport passengers.
Specific working conditions include the presence of various road risks (accidents, breakdowns, etc.), stressful situations, and some other unfavorable factors.
The weather has already been discussed, but it is worth noting here that drivers have to work in different weather conditions: in the heat, in heavy rain, in fog, in snowfall, in strong winds, on slippery or snow-covered roads.
The downside of the profession is fatigue. This is especially true for truck drivers, intercity bus drivers, and city public transport drivers who make several trips per shift.
Salaries
We have already briefly touched on this issue. Now we will dwell in more detail on the earnings of Belarusian drivers.
Let's start with the "minimums", which are also present in the vacancies on the State Employment Service website .
Thus, JSC Savushkin Product (works in Gomel) offers a monthly salary of 626 rubles to a car driver.
The same amount will be issued to the employee by the enterprise "Gomelkhlebprom" (Gomel) and the Malorita State Agrarian College.
The same 626 rubles as a salary are provided for the driver of the Kalinkovichi District Center of Culture and Folk Art.
Most popular
They start at 1,000 and finish at 1,500 rubles. At least in most vacancies.
For example, the company "BelYurObespechenie" (Gomel) offers a salary of 1,000 to 1,100 rubles to a car driver.
Luninets municipal enterprise "Vodokanal" is calling for a driver with experience working with category "B", "C" and "D" licenses.
The organization promises to pay the employee from 1,000 to 1,250 rubles monthly.
Gomel Carriage Works is looking for a driver with an international driver's license (categories "B", "C", "E", "D" is welcome).
The company is ready to pay the employee from 1,250 to 1,350 rubles per month.
The Maryinogorsk reinforced concrete plant (Pukhovichi district, Minsk region) will provide a driver with a salary from 1,400 to 1,500 rubles.

The top “driver’s” salary in Belarus this fall is exactly 5,000 rubles.
