A new military unit has been created in Belarus. Those who served in the army have been included in its ranks on a contract basis.
Alexander Lukashenko announced this during a meeting held during a visit to the 230th combined arms training ground Obuz-Lesnovsky (near Baranovichi).

He explained that the new unit was formed from “smart, intelligent, strong people.”
The head of state specified: he was talking about those Belarusians who once served in the army “or in some units.”
They will serve in the new unit on a contract basis, he explained.
