Previously, violations were identified at the facility, but the owner did not correct them, BELTA reports.
At the moment, the owner has not provided the experts with design and estimate documentation.
The head of the republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations believes that after studying the document, specialists may have new questions for the owner.
So far, two reasons for the absence of a design documentation are being considered: either it does not exist, or the document is being hidden.
These actions will be assessed during the audit.
There were also complaints about the evacuation routes, which were littered and used for other purposes.
Fire alarms and automation deserve special attention.
As it turned out, the owner made the decision to repurpose the retail space on his own.
As a result, the fire alarm system was dismantled, which will also be assessed during the investigation.
Let us recall that the fire in the Vitebsk shopping center "Belarus" occurred on December 13, as a result of which people were injured.
The investigation is under the special control of the President.
