Currently, accountants are particularly popular among employers in the Belarusian labor market.
Recently, more than 1,500 vacancies with offers for these specialists have been published in just one database of the state employment service.
And the salaries promised are different. There is a minimum possible of 626 rubles, and there is a maximum of 7,000 rubles.
However, most often the authors of the indicated vacancies indicate salaries in the range from 1,200 to 1,700 rubles.
We will talk about the money issue in more detail below. Now let's remember what accountants do in Belarus and what are the features of this profession.
What do they do?
Nowadays accountants are represented in almost all spheres of human activity.
It is difficult to imagine that enterprises, factories, plants, organizations, hospitals, restaurants and cafes, educational institutions, construction and agricultural organizations could function properly without these professionals.
Accountants are needed by business and trade, and they are in demand by industry and the agricultural sector.
Accountants are also needed in construction, transport, housing and communal services, medicine, catering, etc.
The question “What does an accountant do?” can be answered in simple terms as follows:
– ensures payment of salaries to the enterprise’s employees;
– oversees issues of providing financial reports to tax authorities;
– keeps records of income and expenses, controls the debit and credit of the organization;
– performs a number of tasks related to accounting, financial and economic aspects of the company’s activities.
Terms and conditions of work
Directly related to the duties performed by specialists.
That is, it is implied that an accountant, in addition to the appropriate education and qualifications, must be extremely attentive and responsible, since he deals with money.
The responsibility on a specialist is enormous when:
– issues salaries, vacation pay, travel allowances, and bonuses to the enterprise’s employees;
– keeps records of the company’s expenses and income, and also monitors the conduct of business transactions;
– maintains an accounting database and prepares reports for the tax authorities, works with other financial documentation;
– calculates the cost price of the company’s products;
– prepares documents for settlements with counterparties.
Taking into account all of the above, an accountant needs to know financial, tax and economic legislation.
Working conditions do not necessarily imply office space. Today, a specialist can also work remotely, at home.
The advantage of remote work is a flexible schedule, familiar comfortable home conditions, no expenses in the form of paying for public transport or gasoline for a car, buying groceries for “meals”, etc.
The remote format also allows a specialist to work on several projects simultaneously.
In terms of career growth prospects, the conditions for an accountant are favorable: he can eventually become the chief accountant, deputy director, or even the general director of the company.
