On Wednesday, September 25, a preventive measure conducted by the State Traffic Inspectorate and the Transport Inspectorate started in Belarus.
It will continue for three days – today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow (September 25, 26 and 27).
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on its official Telegram channel, the event is being held throughout the country.
Its purpose is to take measures to prevent and minimize the severity of the consequences of accidents involving international and intercity buses.
During these days, special attention will be paid to the speed of vehicles, driving into oncoming traffic, and driving through intersections.
They will also check whether drivers perform maneuvers, how many passengers they are transporting, and whether they are wearing seat belts.
In addition, “the responsibility of business entity managers is under control.”
Here we are talking about violations of the procedure for releasing drivers or allowing technically faulty vehicles to transport passengers.
