Since 2025, material support for disabled children will be increased in Belarus.
The press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reminded about this on Telegram.
How support for disabled children will increase from 2025
Firstly, an additional increase in pensions for disabled children is being introduced in the event of the death of one of the parents.
Depending on the degree of loss of health, the increase will amount to 80 to 110% of the minimum subsistence budget (MSB) on average per capita.
Also, an increase on the specified basis is provided for adult disabled persons from childhood of the first and second groups, if the breadwinner died before they reached adulthood.
Secondly, fathers of disabled children from childhood who raised the child without the mother’s participation will have the right to an early retirement pension at age 58.
The following conditions must be met: work experience of at least 25 years, insurance experience of at least five years, confirmation of the fact of raising a minor disabled child for at least eight years.
Currently, the father of a disabled child can receive an early retirement pension only after the child’s mother has formed the right to such a pension and renounced it in favor of the child’s father or did not have time to exercise her right due to death.
