The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus adopted in the second reading the draft law on the republican budget for next year.
The head of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives, Vasyl Panasyuk, spoke about what the 2025 budget will be like.

What will the 2025 budget be like?
According to Panasyuk, revenues are expected to amount to 45,835.8 million rubles (8.1% higher than the estimated revenues for the current year).
The main sources of income are excise taxes, VAT, and tax revenues from foreign economic activity.
Expenses were generated in the amount of 50,295.2 million rubles (an increase of 12% compared to the expected performance of the current year).
The social focus of budget expenditures will be maintained. The priority is funding healthcare and education, implementing measures to support large families and improve the quality of life of the population.
More than 48% of the expenses will be directed to support state programs. 2.7 billion rubles will be directed to healthcare, more than 2 billion rubles to education, more than 361 million rubles to the Family Capital program, and 1.9 billion rubles to the construction of housing with state support.
Expenditures on supporting the real sector of the economy will amount to 2.3 billion rubles, and for innovative breakthrough projects – 7.3 billion rubles.
The deputy noted that expectations for the execution of this year’s budget are very optimistic.
According to him, the deficit included in the 2025 budget project will be offset by the balances from the 2024 budget execution and borrowings from investment activities in future periods.
