The wind that started to rage in Belarus this Sunday will become even stronger on Monday, December 16.
In some areas of the country, gusts can reach speeds of 26 meters per second.
In connection with this, an orange alert level has been declared in the republic for the first day of the coming week.
Plus a snowstorm
According to Belhydromet, on December 16, in most regions of the country, the southwest and west wind will strengthen, with gusts in the west reaching 21-24 m/s, and in some places, up to 26 m/s.
In addition, the wind will continue to blow on Tuesday, December 17. The predicted speed on this day is 15-20 meters per second.
As for the weather conditions on Monday, cloudy weather with clear spells is likely, there will be snow, sleet, and rain.
During the night and morning hours, a snowstorm will appear, accompanied by black ice and icy conditions on some sections of the roads.
Air temperature: at night on December 16 – from -3 to +3 degrees, during the day – from +2 to +10 degrees.

In Minsk tomorrow, partly cloudy weather is expected, rain is possible, the wind will be fierce (up to 20 m/s), and thermometers will show from +4 to +6 degrees.
Almost the same weather conditions will form in Brest, but here the wind will be even stronger (up to 24 m/s), and the air will warm up to 8-10 degrees Celsius.
Residents of Vitebsk can expect snow, sleet, rain, strong winds (from 15 to 18 m/s) and temperatures from +2 to +4 degrees on December 16.
In fact, everything will be the same in Gomel and Mogilev, except for the temperature – 3-5 degrees above zero.
In Grodno, Monday will be rainy and windy (17-22 m/s), thermometers will record from +7 to +9 degrees.
