First ice and cold injuries registered in Belarus. Region with the largest number of victims named

The first ice and cold injuries have been registered in Belarus since November 21.

The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic reported this on its official telegram channel.

According to her data, the largest number of victims was recorded in the Gomel region – 336 people.

32 citizens were taken to hospitals in the region, “the rest received outpatient care.”

In the Gomel region, ice injuries were diagnosed in 333 patients and cold injuries in only three.

Other regions

Brest region is in second place in terms of the number of victims (67 people).

Of these, 9 citizens were hospitalized, the rest received outpatient care. Ice injury - in 62 patients, cold injury - in five.

The TOP-3 regions with the largest number of victims are closed by the Mogilev region - 58 people (17 hospitalized).

51 local residents suffered from ice injuries, and seven from cold injuries.

Grodno region – 51 injured, 16 people hospitalized. 46 citizens suffered from ice injuries, five – from cold.

Vitebsk region – 19 injured, five hospitalized. 15 patients have ice injuries, four have cold injuries.

In Minsk region, 10 people were injured, six were hospitalized. Ice injuries were suffered by 8 patients, cold injuries by two.

There are five victims in the capital. No one was hospitalized, all were diagnosed with ice injuries.

Dangerous places

The Ministry of Health reminded Belarusians about potentially dangerous places during icy conditions, where they must be extremely careful:

– steps of entrances;
– steps of underground passages, including the subway;
– public transport stops;
- slides, including children's ones.

The Ministry recommends to its compatriots: if you cannot avoid injury, you should contact the nearest emergency room.
