Belarus plans to change approaches to providing citizens with housing.
The head of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction, Ruslan Parkhamovich, announced this following the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers.
His statement is cited by BELTA .
How approaches to housing provision may change
As Parkhamovich said, issues of state support for housing construction were discussed at the meeting.
Decree No. 240, the minister recalled, provides for shared participation in the construction of housing for citizens entitled to state support.
The Ministry of Construction and Architecture proposes to exclude citizens from participating in the construction process.
A person must choose a ready-made apartment, receive a preferential loan and move into the new home within 3-4 months, the head of the department explained.
According to him, this will eliminate the negative attitude of citizens towards the construction process and expand the range of products.
In addition, Parkhamovich added, this will make life easier for the builders: they will have a clear understanding that the work is fully funded.
Subsequently, the constructed apartments will be re-registered directly to the citizens who purchase them, the minister summed up.
