The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned Belarusians about the approaching strong wind.
Due to this adverse meteorological phenomenon, an orange alert level has been declared in the country.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in its official telegram channel, today and tomorrow (November 1 and 2) in many regions of the republic, strengthening of the westerly wind is possible.
Gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second are predicted, and today during the day and at night on November 2, in some places the wind speed will be 21-24 m/s.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also named the main danger factors for these two days:
– break in communication and power lines;
– power supply failure;
– collapse of weakly reinforced structures;
– damage to roofs and structures;
- falling trees.
As for the weather, forecasters say cloudiness is expected, with rain possible in many areas of the country.
The minimum nighttime air temperature will be from +5 to +10 degrees, and the daytime maximum will be 10-15 degrees Celsius.
