From the first day of next year – 2025 – innovations under the “Family Capital” program will come into effect in Belarus.
Key innovations include early use of funds in relevant deposits and loan repayment terms.
The press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection spoke more specifically about these changes on its official Telegram channel.
As for early use, Belarusians who have built housing in multi-apartment residential buildings will be able to use this option of family capital independently, without a referral from the local government.
To pay off loans issued for housing construction, family capital funds can be used early, regardless of the type of loan and the date of conclusion of the loan agreement (including before 2015).
The terms of repayment of such a loan:
– the borrower must be registered as needing improved housing conditions on the date of the conclusion of the loan agreement;
– he and his family members must not own housing with a total area of 15 square meters per person (in Minsk – 10 square meters).
The availability of housing is determined on the date of the conclusion of the loan agreement based on the composition of the family, taken into account on the date of application for early use of family capital, the Ministry of Labor noted.
