It is calendar winter outside. Its first month will surprise Belarusians, since “clean snow”, without rain, is expected in many regions only in the second half of December.
The same can be said about frosts - they will come, according to forecasts, closer to the equator of the month. And they will be very "weak" - minus 4-5 degrees at most.
Well, now let's see what the heavenly office is preparing for the capital and other regional cities of the country in December.
Minsk
Until the 13th, the temperature will be above zero and below zero, only on December 5th and 6th will there be a degree below zero.
From December 5 to 21 – rain with snow. From the 22nd to the 24th – snow. And then until January 1 – no precipitation.
The temperature in the first half of the month is from +3 to -1 degrees, in the second – from 0 to -4 degrees.
Brest
The first "clean snow" (without rain) will be seen by local residents on December 9. Before that - on the 5th, 7th and 8th - with rain.
The first half of the month in the city on the Bug will also end with snow and rain. Only a few days without precipitation.
Air temperature from the 2nd to the 15th – from +5 to +2 degrees.
In the second half of December, many days in Brest will be marked by rain and snow, and the temperature will be from +2 to -2 degrees.
Vitebsk
As in Brest, the first "clean snow" in the northern capital of Belarus is expected on December 9. And before that - from the 4th - it will be snow and rain.
Such precipitation will overcome the city until the 20th inclusive. Then - from the 21st to the 25th - only snow, and the last days of the year - no precipitation.
As for the temperature, in the first half of December it is from +4 to -2 degrees, in the second – 2-5 degrees below zero.
Gomel
Only from December 23 will the southern regional center see “clean snow”, before that – only rain.
From December 26 until the end of the year no precipitation is expected in Gomel.
Air temperature: in the first half of the month – from +2 to -1 degrees, in the second – from 0 to -4 degrees.
Grodno
Snow without rain will visit this city for the first time on December 8. Actually, that's all, there won't be any more of that here in December.
It will only be accompanied by rain - on many days. Only a few of them, including the 31st, will pass without precipitation.
Thermometers will show Grodno residents from 0 to +4 degrees in the first half of the month, and from +1 to -3 degrees in the second.
Mogilev
Here, "clean" snow will fall between December 22 and 25. And most of the other days of the month will be snow and rain.
But there will be a couple of dry spells, including December 31st.
The air temperature in the first half of the month is from +4 to -1 degrees, in the second – 1-4 degrees below zero.
