Belarusian Railways is in a hurry to please Belarusians with good news – more than 30 additional international trains are being launched.
They will transport passengers during the New Year and Christmas holidays from Belarus to Russia and back.
The head of the passenger service of the Belarusian Railways, Alexander Zakharevich, shared this information with Belarusians.
He made the statement, as Belta reports , after the ceremony to honor the 200,000th passenger of the Belarus branded train No. 2/1 Minsk - Moscow in 2024.
The ceremonial event took place at the country’s main railway station, that is, at the Minsk-Passazhirsky station.
The specialist told those gathered that the Belarusian Railways sees the current active demand for trains running between Minsk and Moscow, Minsk and St. Petersburg.
Today, more than 30 additional international trains have been scheduled, the head of the service said.
According to him, we are talking about the composition of the Belarusian Railways and Russian Railways.
And since these destinations are extremely popular among Russians and Belarusians, Zakharevich allowed for the possibility of increasing the number of additional trains.
