In Belarus, work is underway to launch new air routes from Minsk to regions of Russia.
This was reported by the consultant of the Department of Aviation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic Gennady Kostyuk.
He specifically pointed out the fact that Belarus has reoriented flights from western to eastern and southern directions.
New routes have appeared. In particular, Russian airlines have started flying to Minsk from Cherepovets, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm.
In addition, flights to Mineralnye Vody, Ulyanovsk, and Arkhangelsk have recently started.
As for our main air carrier, Belavia Airlines, a new destination has been opened this year – Makhachkala, Belta quotes the specialist as saying.
According to him, the organization of direct flights is currently being worked out with Russian regions.
We are talking about flights from Minsk to Barnaul, Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Omsk, Tomsk, Tyumen.
In addition, “cooperation with distant arc countries continues.”
For example, in 2023, Belavia organized direct flights from Minsk to Delhi.
Currently, international air traffic agreements are being prepared for signing with Venezuela, Kenya, Seychelles, and Saudi Arabia, which will allow flights to these countries.
In addition, last year flights began from Gomel to Moscow, this year – from Gomel to St. Petersburg, in April – from Brest to Moscow, Kostyuk noted.
