The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a law providing for changes to laws on issues of state registration of real estate, rights to it and transactions with it.
The document is aimed at a comprehensive and systematic improvement of relations in this area.
The press service of the head of state reported this.
How the legislation on state registration of real estate is changing
The law provides for mandatory state registration of real estate, rights to it and transactions with it within a period of no more than six months, and for previously issued documents – by January 1, 2031.
A certificate of state registration can be obtained directly from the notary who certified or issued the document that serves as the basis for state registration, without the need for an additional visit to the registrar.
Corrections related to changes in personal data of citizens, identification information of business entities and addresses of real estate objects, as well as the transfer of rights to real estate in the event of the creation of an individual entrepreneur of a commercial organization, will be automatically entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate.
The law also provides for the introduction of an extraterritorial principle of registration actions (regardless of the location of the property) and a pre-trial procedure for appealing the actions of the registrar.
In addition, the deadline for applying for legalization of illegally occupied land plots has been extended until January 1, 2028.
