This lizard was discovered by employees of the retail outlet in a box of persimmons.

By the way, as soon as the sellers found the reptile, this was the first zoo they called.
Experts suggest that the lizard may have arrived in Belarus with a shipment of fruit and was hiding among the fruit until it was discovered.
The zoo has given shelter to a small "tourist". Experts say that the unusual traveler turned out to be a Mediterranean house gecko.
Now he is a permanent inhabitant of the Terrarium pavilion of the Grodno Zoo.
The staff note that the gecko they “registered” here adapted to the new conditions quite quickly.
Now he feels well, enjoys eating tasty insects and has even managed to molt, the report says.
