The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 402 “On social support”.
The document also provides for the abolition of restrictions on the size of pensions for working pensioners.
The presidential press service reported this.
What's in the decree on social support
The decree, the main provisions of which come into force on January 1, is aimed at strengthening social support for certain categories of citizens.
The limit on the size of pensions for working pensioners is lifted.
A further reduction in the insurance period from ten to five years is established for mothers who have given birth to and raised four or more children.
Fathers of disabled children who are raising a child alone are provided with additional guarantees for the appointment of an early pension (five years earlier).
For disabled children, an increase in pension is established in connection with the death of one of the parents. The amount of the increase will depend on the degree of loss of health.
The decree also provides for the optimization of the deadlines for filing an application for a pension and the simplification of the procedure for collecting documents on earnings for calculating the pension.
In addition, the document provides for the preservation of the right for certain categories of citizens (those with special health needs, those caring for a disabled child, those living with a disabled person of the first group) to receive their pension by mail.
The remaining pensioners will be able to receive their pensions by mail if they pay for the service from their own funds at the rates of the cost of postal services for the delivery of pensions at the expense of the Social Security Fund.
