The Minsk police explained how to protect elderly relatives from cyber fraudsters.

The recommendations were published on the Telegram channel of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Firstly, you should explain to elderly relatives that if they receive suspicious calls, they should immediately contact the police by dialing 102.

Secondly, it is necessary to tell relatives about current fraudulent schemes.

Third, make a plan for responding to calls from scammers and post it next to your phone.

Fourthly, you should change certain phone settings – limit the reception of calls from unknown numbers, prohibit the installation of applications from unknown sources.

Pensioners are the most vulnerable category of people, the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs reminded.
