What Snopkov said about the average salary in Belarus
As the Deputy Prime Minister reported, in January-August of this year the average salary was almost 2.2 thousand rubles (equivalent to 687 dollars).
This is the maximum value of the average salary of a Belarusian over the past ten years, the deputy head of government stated.
In the budgetary sphere, Snopkov noted, salaries are increased by increasing the base rate and selectively in certain categories.
We will practically reach the five-year target for wages in medicine, he said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the target was 150% of the average salary, now it is 143.3%.
The salaries of teaching staff, the deputy head of government continued, increased by 24.5% in January-August.
Our indicator is 80% of the average salary, Snopkov reminded.
According to him, the government is constantly monitoring the head of state’s order to reduce the number of low-paid workers.
To this end, the minimum wage was increased to 626 rubles (by 13%) from January 1.
The number of enterprises that paid wages below this level in previous years has decreased by 5 times. But there is still work to be done, the Deputy Prime Minister summed up.
