Belstat described what a Belarusian father looks like

A city dweller, works as a builder or driver and has a secondary specialized education – this is what the average Belarusian dad looks like, according to the National Statistical Committee.

The data published by Belstat for Father's Day is cited by "National Television" . This holiday is celebrated in Belarus on October 21.

According to estimates, as of January 1 of this year, there were 3,302.7 million men aged 18 and over living in the country.

76.9% of men live in urban areas, 23.1% in rural areas. Every fifth man is a capital city resident.

As for the ratio of women to men, in the age group from 18 to 39 years there are 1006 men for every 1000 women, and in the group from 40 years and older - 729 men.

Last year, 2023, 56,044 men “bound” themselves in marriage.

Of these, 36,933 people were getting married for the first time in their lives. Their average age was 28.8 years.

19,111 men, aged 42.8 on average, decided to start a family again.
