The list of goods prohibited for import and sale in Belarus has been expanded.

This is provided for by the decree signed by the head of government Roman Golovchenko on August 28.

This document came into force today.

What goods are included in the lists of goods prohibited for import and sale in Belarus

The resolution refers to two lists. The first contains goods originating from unfriendly states.

This list includes: tire products, high-density polyethylene, OSB boards, carpentry and joinery products, rags, plywood, fiberglass, including glass wool, paper and cardboard, including corrugated, sanitary and hygienic products and paper.

The second list contains goods originating from the Baltic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic.

This list includes: wallpaper, suitcases and bags, ceramic tiles, washing machines, refrigerators, freezers and other refrigeration/freezing equipment, sanitary ware, nappies and diapers.

The government noted that this resolution is a response to the expansion of sanctions against Belarus by the European Union from July 1.
