The second power unit of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant was connected to the grid after the completion of the first scheduled preventive maintenance (SPM).

As part of the preventive maintenance, the spent nuclear fuel was replaced with fresh fuel, loading approximately 25% of the fuel assemblies with fresh fuel into the reactor core.
About 12,000 units of equipment were fully serviced.
Operational inspection of the metal of the plant's pipelines and equipment, including the reactor vessel, was carried out. The total number of objects of inspection was more than 20,000 (including radiographic inspection of the metal of 748 welded joints).
Over 26,000 spare parts kits were used for the repair campaign.
The scheduled maintenance was carried out by the station’s repair personnel, as well as by personnel from Belenergoremnaladka OJSC, Atomstroyexport JSC and Rusatom Service JSC.
In accordance with international practice, scheduled maintenance is carried out annually at each power unit of the station.
