Urban emphasized that Belarusian specialists began selection only three decades ago.
At the same time, well-known foreign companies in the relevant industry have been operating for a whole century.
Thus, Belarus is inferior in experience.
Urban confirmed that some trial Belarusian hybrids are inferior to foreign ones in terms of grain productivity.
At the same time, a representative of the National Academy of Sciences called these hybrids worthy and capable of becoming a full-fledged alternative to foreign ones.
Eroma Urban drew attention to the following fact: such a sector as seed production is seriously developing in Belarus. Every year, about 160-180 tons of maternal forms of hybrids are produced in the republic.
