In the near future, there will be no complete transition to electronic diaries in Belarusian schools, but work on their implementation is underway.
This is stated in the response of the Ministry of Education to the corresponding appeal from parents.
The department’s response is cited by the publication “Arguments and Facts in Belarus” .
What the Ministry of Education said about the transition to electronic diaries
The authors of the appeal asked whether there were plans to switch to electronic diaries, noting their convenience.
The Ministry of Education responded that departmental regulations do not provide for the use of electronic diaries; paper diaries are mandatory.
However, the department continued, schools can introduce electronic diaries themselves with the consent of parents.
The Ministry of Education added that a state ED service is being developed within the framework of the state program “Digital Development of Belarus”.
Once it is ready, the possibility of using only electronic diaries in schools will be considered.
