On the morning of October 9, the fifth maximum class X flare in October occurred on the Sun.
It is expected to cause a strong magnetic storm.
The Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported this.
When to expect a magnetic storm
As scientists reported, a large plasma emission occurred exactly along the Sun-Earth line. According to the latest data, it is flying straight to Earth.
This time there is no way at all that the planet can evade it, the laboratory said.
The plasma cloud, which promises to be massive, is expected to reach Earth on October 10 at approximately 19:00 Moscow time.
The global storm forecast will be formed by the end of the day, but it can already be said that it will be very negative both in duration and in strength, up to level four storms, the scientists noted.
