Tax rates will not be increased next year, but will be indexed to the level of inflation.

This was stated on October 9 by Natalia Kuleshova, a member of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

What will happen to tax rates in 2025?

Today, at an extended meeting of the commission, bills on the republican budget for next year, the budget of the Social Security Fund for 2025, and amendments to the Tax Code are being considered.

The meeting is attended by the heads of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Social Security Fund, deputies, and senators.

As Kuleshova explained, next year the excise tax rates on tobacco and alcohol products will be increased, and the remaining rates (transport, land, environmental and other taxes) will be indexed to the projected inflation rate.

The deputy also reported that a number of benefits for individuals were introduced into the Tax Code.

These are innovations regarding large families, the parliamentarian said.

According to her, starting next year, the one-time application of the property deduction, which affected the amount of income tax, will be cancelled.

We also systematized the list of preferential categories that will apply to taxpayers for owning dogs.

For persons performing military or alternative service, there will be a single benefit on property tax, transport tax and land tax.

In addition, the list of young specialists entitled to a standard tax deduction has been expanded.
