When will heating be turned on in apartments in Brest
Despite the fact that the average daily air temperature in the regional center exceeds +10 degrees, the city executive committee decided to start the heating season.
Tomorrow, heat will begin to be supplied to social institutions: kindergartens, schools, educational and sports, medical and health care institutions, social security institutions, hotels, libraries, archives, museums.
Heating will be turned on in Brest residents’ apartments on Friday, October 11.
In the Brest region, the heating season started on October 3. First, heating was turned on in social institutions in the northern regions - Baranovichi, Baranovichi, Ivatsevichi, Lyakhovichi and Gantsevichi districts.
The list was expanded after the weekend. As Sergei Ananyev, head of the boiler and energy department of the regional housing and utilities department, reported, as of 17:00 on October 7, all district executive committees, except for Brest, Malorita and Zhabinkovsky, had made decisions on supplying heat to social institutions.
Heating has begun to be turned on in apartments in Pruzhany, Pinsk and Drogichin districts.
A representative of the regional housing and utilities department noted that when the daytime temperature is above +10 degrees, the boiler houses will be shut down (if technically possible), and the heat supply will be resumed at night.
This is a common practice, the so-called heating mode, Ananyev explained.
Earlier it became known that today they started turning on heating in apartments in Grodno, Smorgon and Lida.
