According to Belstat , the nominal accrued average monthly salary of a teacher in January-August of this year amounted to 2,022.3 rubles.
This is 28.6% higher than in January-August last year.
There are 103.3 thousand teachers in the country. There are 1 million 92.2 thousand students, and 2,872 educational institutions. There are 11 students per teacher.
There are 1,410 educational institutions in cities and urban-type settlements. They employ 74 thousand teachers, teaching 925.3 thousand children. There are 13 students per teacher.
There are 1,462 educational institutions in rural areas. They employ 29.3 thousand teachers, teaching 164.9 thousand children. There are six students per teacher.
